Dubai police nab dreaded European gang leader

Dubai, Jun 5: The Dubai police nabbed a dreaded European gang leader after the special security forces conducted a sting operation. The accused, Amir Faten Mekky was said to be on the run from the European Police. The police's elite Dubai Security agency carried out the arrest.

The gang leader, a Danish national was reportedly charged with various crime accusations like murder, drug trafficking and money laundering. He was said to have entered the UAE in 2018. The special security forces of Dubai arrested him on Thurday, June 4.

Investigations are on and preparations are carried on to hand him over to the relevant authorities, the Dubai media office tweeted.
