Kuwait, Jun 3: Kuwait Kannadigas can finally heave a sigh of relief as a flight has been announced as part of Vande Bharat Mission to Karnataka.

The flight will be on June 16 from Kuwait to Bengaluru. The flight will leave Kuwait at 14.20 hrs local time and reach Bengaluru International Airport at 21.50 hrs IST.

It may be recalled, flights from Qatar, UAE and Oman airlifted people back home to Karnataka under the central government's Vande Bharat Mission. Kannadigas in Kuwait, were waiting for their turn to fly home.

Office bearers of various Kannada organizations in Kuwait, had repeatedly requested the central government to arrange flights from Kuwait to Karnataka. Union minister D V Sadananda Gowda had assured to sort out the issues soon and arrange flights to Kuwait.

NRI Mohandas Kamath, through a tweet, thanked everyone including Sadananda Gowda for helping Kuwait Kannadigas at this crucial juncture.
