Dubai, Jun 3: With Dubai now experiencing relaxations, people are trying to adjust to the new normal. This has inversely given rise to traffic as several people are getting back to work. Issuing an advisory in this regard, Dubai police on Wednesday warned motorists against speeding on prominent highways.

"Driving at high speeds causes the most serious traffic accidents. We advise you to adhere to the legal speed limits," the police said on Twitter.

The shopping malls were also allowed to operate with 100 per cent capacity from June 2, while adhering to strict safety measures. The decision is part of the gradual reopening of economic activities in the emirate.

Earlier, the Dubai Police had also issued a warning of Dh 3,000 fine for stepping out during curfew hours (namely, between 11 pm and 6 am), with exception to emergencies.
