Badshahpur MLA to reward best performing government official

Gurugram, Jun 3 (IANS): In order to motivate the government officials to work honestly and sincerely in the interest of common people, Gurugram MLA from Badshahpur constituency Rakesh Daulatabad announced a cash reward of Rs 25 lakh to the best performing government official of the district.

The MLA said that the reward price will be given from his personal capacity and he will not use MLA fund for this.

"In next one year, we have a set-up that will be used to judge the performance of government officials and their ratings will be collected directly from residents of Gurugram. It is a similar practice that private companies such as Amazon, Swiggy, Zomato, Ola, Uber and many other companies are doing about their overall services," Daulatabad said.

"The huge cash price is the first step in this direction. Besides, I have planned to introduce incentive bill in Haryana assembly in 2021, wherein every government employee will gets incentive on the basis of good performance apart from their actual salary," he added.

The motive behind rewarding the government officials is to provide the best service to the public. The real treatment of weak government services will be done only after the introduction of the incentive bill, he said.

"On May 25, I have pointed out non performing officials on Twitter and Facebook. I have also asked residents of Gurugram to provide names of non-performing officials. Residents of Gurugram have given hundreds of names, which will be submitted before Chief Minister soon and will demand action against them," he said.
