Udupi: 'Tweet on Kalladka youth in my name fake', says Shobha, urges strict action

Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi (SP)

Udupi, May 25: Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP Shobha Karandlaje has alleged that miscreants have been spreading fake tweets attributed to her in a bid to tarnish her image and disrupt social health and peace in society. She has urged the Mangaluru city police commissioner to immediately arrest the miscreants.

She said that news about her alleged tweet relating to the death of Nishanth, a youth from Kalladka, was fake.

On Sunday May 24, Nishanth had reportedly ended his life by jumping into river at Panemangalore. Shamir Muhammed Mommu, Tauseef Zahid Jayi, Muqtar from Akkarangady and Arif HIghway who were celebrating Eid had jumped into the river, rescued him and taken him to hospital but the youth did not survive although he was treated there.

Immediately thereafter, screenshot of a tweet which looked like having been made by Shobha Karandlaje in which she said Nishanth from Kalladka, who belonged to Hindu organization, was killed by Jihadis, was shared in social media. The tweet also added that she had asked Amit Shah to take action against the Jihadis concerned.

Shobha has denied having made any such claims and termed the information being circulated in social media and other sites in her name as fake and false. She said that the support extended by Congress leaders to the conspiracy hatched by 'Jihadis' to sully her image exhibits their distorted mindset. She urged the police to find out the culprits behind this act and see that they are brought to book.

She has termed this as an effort by 'Jihadis' to spoil her image. She says that someone has spread the statement purported to have been made though her Twitter account, claiming that relating to the death of Nishant from Kalladka, she had blamed Jihadi forces. Through a video clip, she asserted that she has neither made any post in the social media on the issue nor issued any statement to the media.

She has urged the Mangaluru police commissioner to immediately arrest those who were behind making posts in her name and to take suitable action against them.

For sometimes unless proven, we might agree that may be someone is using her name and spreading such things....

But here the question is, when she is giving clarification, again she is using the term as "jihadis". She could have used the term as miscreants...

Seeing this video, how can a common man think, that the tweet was not by her..

Being a MP, It is better to use the good time for serving/uplifting people instead of wasting time in unwanted things during the current crisis. Other issues can be dealt again during the coming election based on performance.

Even for a while if her version is taken as true also , what prevented her from atleast giving a word of aporeciation to those boys who risked their lives to save the life of other ? Doesnt it show her biased mindset ? Moreover, how she knows definitely the purported tweet was made from Mangalore only so as to ask Mangalore police to take action. Doesn't it look so fishy ?

What can be said, people have elected such hate-mongers, who have only communal hatred flowing in her blood.
people are to be blamed for electing such uncouth, unethical person.
she mentioned " jehadi" here. that shows what's in their mind and what sort of mentality in her.
she had never come up with a single statement about migrant workers' suffering.
whenever she comes on-air or briefing, the subject is only about communal, communal, communal hatred.

This is just another crude attempt by the BJP leadership to indulge in Divisive Politics in their continued attempts to polarise people on religous grounds. Indulging in Lies, Falsehoods and Slander is synonmous with the BJP.

The BJP has become a total Liability for the Nation.

Something looks fishy. Instead of urging the Police Commissioner to take strict action immediately, why does not she file a complaint? It is the legitimate way. By the way, can the Police arrest a person on the verbal instructions of an elected representative?

Profile pic and user ID of the alleged tweet and the later clarification tweets are matching. Did she actually make the tweet and then delete it and now gone into damage control mode???
Even if it was not made by her, because she has had a habit of making derogatory comments about muslim community, nobody will believe her. This is like 'huli banthu huli' story.
