Udupi, May 24: Five more people tested positive for coronavirus in Udupi on Sunday, May 24, raising the day's total to 23.

The three have a travel history from Maharashtra, one from Telangana and one from Dubai. As per earlier reported cases, around 13 people had travelled from Maharashtra to Udupi, three contracted the infection from containment zones. The source of infection of two more people has still not been ascertained. Among those tested positive in the morning there were children and a pregnant lady.

All have been shifted to COVID-19 designated hospitals for treatment.

With this in Udupi, 76 confirmed cases of coronavirus have been reported so far in the district, including a death. Three have recovered, and 72 are active.

Udupi, May 24: As many as 18 people tested positive for coronavirus in Udupi on Sunday May 24.

As many as seven females and 11 male including three children have tested positive. A pregnant lady too is tested positive.

While 13 people have travelled from Maharashtra to Udupi, three have contracted the infection from containment zones. The source of infection of two more people is yet to be ascertained. 

All have been shifted to COVID hospitals for treatment. 

Hence, in Udupi, 71 confirmed cases of coronavirus have been reported so far in the district, including a death. Three have recovered, and 67 are active.
