Karkala, May 21: In an incident reported from Marne village in the taluk, a married woman fled with her married lover, duly abandoning her daughter, immediately after completing the home quarantine period.
The woman in question is Mubina (28) from Ajekar Kaikamba. She had married eight years ago and had settled down in Pune. On account of family issues, she had returned with her eight-year-old daughter four months ago and had started to live with her parents. She had, in the meanwhile, attended the marriage function of a relative at Mangaluru. After they returned, the lady along with her mother and brother were sent to complete home quarantine term.

Her father was stuck at Mangaluru and was sent to quarantine there. By the time he came back home, he found that his daughter, who was once in love with a man from Moobidri many years ago, has disappeared with him. It is said that the two who met at the quarantine, fell in love with each other all over again.
A case in this connection was lodged at Ajekar police station.
