Udupi: Three coronavirus patients recover - All borders sealed

Udupi, Apr 10: Deputy commissioner (DC) G Jagadeesha announced on Friday, April 10, that districts borders are sealed for travellers inbound as well as outbound.

He further said that these restrictions are imposed in wake of coronavirus threat.

"Three coronavirus positive cases have recovered and will be discharged soon. Also the persons who were in contact of these three people were quarantined and reports received have been negative," he said.

The DC also appealed all citizens not to travel out of Udupi and also warned anyone from entering the district.

    I suppose the DC thinks everybody including poor will survive only on air and water for the next week...Mister DC inter-border supply routes have to be kept open. Sealing the border will only increase the prices of essential commodities.
    Zero corona rates now in Udupi. No community transmission also....relax the rules for essential supplies.

    There are many old age parents whose children's work abroad at this hours who can't go out for due to the lock down.
    I make humble request to the District Commissioner to start the mobile delivery service to the door step for the essential commodities.
    Please start the day to day permit service for the needy people who wanted see the Doctors, buy medicine and so on.
