TN tiger deaths: Forest Department begins probe


Chennai, Apr 9 (IANS): The Tamil Nadu Forest Department is probing the death of two tigers in the Annamalai Tiger Reserve in the state's Coimbatore district, officials said on Thursday.

The death of two eight-year-old tigers - male and female - came to light when the forest officials had gone on patrol on Wednesday evening.

According to officials, samples have been sent for testing and only then the cause of tigers' death - whether they were poisoned or not - will be known.
