Udupi, Apr 7: Hebri and Shirva here witnesses heavy rain on Tuesday, April 7, bringing some relief for people from sweltering heat. The atmosphere in Udupi was cloudy in the morning. It rained later in the evening.
The unseasonal shower brought welcome respite to many places that were smouldering under the summer heat.
The nostalgic fragrance of the soil pervaded the air as rain drenched pockets of the district.
It has rained well at several places in Udupi since Tuesday morning. There was rain in Karkala, Kundapur, Kollur, Siddapur, Gangolli, Hemmadi, Uppunda, Shirur, Hebri and in the vicinity of Kamalashile coupled with thunder.
Cloudy atmosphere was witnessed in most of the other places in the district.
