J'khand man commits suicide after wife refuses money for liquor


Ranchi, Apr 4 (IANS): A 30-year-old man allegedly committed suicide after being denied Rs 300 for liquor in Jharkhand's Gumla district on Saturday, police said.

According to police, Ajay Oraon, a resident of Bada Loro village demanded Rs 300 from his wife, which she had borrowed from her mother for domestic expenditure during the lockdown.

When Ajay asked for the money for liquor, his wife refused saying that it was for household expenses.

Angry over the refusal, Ajay left the house. Later his body was found hanging from a tree, police said.
