2 Goa positive patients show negative after new tests


Panaji, Apr 2 (IANS): Two of the five patients who had tested COVID-19 positive have now tested negative, Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said on Thursday.

Rane also said that the two patients, would be kept under observation for 24 hours, quarantined separately and tests would be conducted again for re-confirmation.

"This proves our protocols are effective. This is a major encouragement for us," Rane said.

Earlier on Thursday, 48 suspect COVID-19 samples sent to the Pune-based National Institute of Virology had tested negative.
