New Delhi, Mar 30: When the entire world is passing through a difficult time and the Indian administration led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is putting in its best efforts to arrest the rapid spread of coronavirus, positive as well as negative reports about the current situation and handling of the crisis are coming in from across the country.

 

The lathi charge by police personnel in some parts of the country was extensively shared in social media. To some on social media, the videos of police beating people evoked a comparison with Indira Gandhi's 1975 Emergency. On Monday March 30, micro-blogging social media site Twitter was rife with users discussing the 'bitter' side of India's massive lockdown, and highlighting the loopholes in the system.
