When my wife was pregnant the scan reports revealed that the baby had abnormal heart growth and we were advised by the doctors to go for abortion. And I was even told that even if the delivery is successful ( little chance) the baby had to undergo series of operations and will need lifetime extraordinary persistent support from the parents. The operation cost was such that all my life savings was also not sufficient.
But still, me and my wife and my mother uprightly decided not to go for abortion and to deliver the baby. Such is the love of parents for the child.

But as Allah wished the baby died at 7 months of pregnancy. And I still remember the baby always in memories and pray for her that we meet her in the life after death.

Just keep on doing Hindu Muslim as if we don't have any other problems to be urgently addressed. Don't see where we are heading to?
I swear by Allah, I would have adopted that child very happily if she had offered me before doing that.....what should I call this.... I can't call this just a crime. Crying literally.

Please arrest the people too who passed unwanted remarks about baby being a girl child. They are directly responsible for this act. Give them such punishment that they will never do it again in their lifetime.

Firstly: whoever "made remarks by baby being a girl" they are the most Dangerous mindeset people surrounding us in our society

Secondly: Father also equal responsible such a kind of step taken by mother as he could give positive courage to his wife to deliver baby girl, together they face the challenge and live their life politely.

Third: unfortunately the mother caring more than such kind of mindset people than the 23 days innocents infant.

The society we are leaving in also equally responsible who curse the mothers on giving birth to a girls. I am sure it was not an easy decision for the mother who took care of the baby in her womb for 9 months. Is India really shining?

There are several similar cases around the world - as a result of post-partum depression.

Hope the justice system takes it into consideration.

Dear Neha, It is shame on the entire human being living in the soceity. We all together broke the tradition of arranged marriag for what ever reasons. Now few wont get backup support in love marriage. Again soceity broke tradition of cooperation between one another. When root is rotten how come branches give good fruit.

Before you pass the judgement, please understand the emotional trauma a woman undergoes upon becoming a mother. Foremost, from that day on, she is not living for herself, she has a dependant whom she must feed, clean, put to sleep, be there when it wakes up. Meaning, the mother has no freedom, she must sleep only when the infant sleeps. You can imagine how small period an infant sleeps for.

Secondly, the social acceptance of her as a mother of a daughter/son. Imagine the joy when she brings a boy, and the rejection when she brings a girl child in this world. Why should she be rejected for becoming a daughter's mother ? This itself is the the reason for the emotional damage we cause to the entire womanhood. The day we change this mindset, female child mortalities come to an end.

Remember people, we have seen so many fathers who raped their own grown up daughters. This mother who reacted with what she did, is a pittance as compared to the biological fathers do it to their daughters.
