Media Release

Mangaluru, Mar 17: A one-day Refresher Programme on moral values was organised for the Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management teaching as well as the non-teaching staff, on March 14. Swami Maheshathmanandaji Maharaj of Ramakrishna Math, Goa and Ramanujam professional trainer, Focus Academy of Life Skills and Entrepreneurship, Mysuru were invited as resource persons to conduct sessions.

Swami Maheshathmanandaji Maharaj spoke about being positive and having confidence in one's abilities. Be sincere and dedicated to the workplace and always worship the work. Being positive does not mean all is well, only remember nothing is all negative, said the Swamiji. He urged the gathering to see the good in everything, and thus emerge as true human beings. Humanity is greater than everything else he went
on to say, illustrating certain live examples to prove his theory.

D T Ramanujam spoke about being better and the best and always keep learning and improving skills. He emphasized on enjoying life by upgrading the knowledge. There is no dearth of talented people, but with the passion to work hard, one can always learn new skills that would help them rise up faster at their workplace, he stated.

Quit thinking of the past or what could have been, said Ramanujam. Quit thinking about the future too, stay focused and live in the present, he advised. While concluding, he called upon the gathering to maintain cordial relations with the co-workers and with family members, thus striking a balance between home and workplace.
