New Delhi, Feb 28 (IANSlife): Adline Castelino, who has been selected to represent India country at Miss Universe pageant 2020, says she is "very confident" of winning the title.
The Mangalore-based model, who was crowned as the winner of LIVA Miss Diva Universe 2020, spoke to IANSlife about her journey, shares her beauty and fitness regime.
Excerpts:
How was your journey till you won the title?
Castelino: The journey was long and had a lot of ups and downs; right now I realize that everything happened to transform me as a person and bring out the best in me. I am now capable of carrying a 1.2 billion hopes to the Universe. I am grateful to everyone who believed and support me.
What does it feel like?
Castelino: I feel I am the happiest person in the world, living the dream. The stakes are high and I carry the hopes of my people, but the love and support is immense, even from people staying abroad.
How are you preparing for Miss Universe pageant?
Castelino: Preparations are yet to start, we will be going through all the aspects by thinking out of the box. This is about my country, there is a lot of research to do on the history and mystery; I need to imbibe it all in the vision. I also have an amazing team who want the same for India.
What is the best advice you have got?
Castelino: The biggest learning that has come to me is that life can throw a lot of challenges at you unexpectedly, sometimes you are not prepared for them but it is important to always face the situation. Even if you fail and fail, learn to keep moving forward.
How confident are you about winning the title?
Castelino: With all the support and encouragement of my people and the brilliant team I'm working with, I can say I'm very confident we will win.
What are your aims and ambitions?
Castelino: My aim is to always be a better version of myself than yesterday. My ambition is to work and meet people from all over the world.
Please share your beauty regime?
Castelino: I fail to follow regimes, I can follow them for 3-4 days maximum. So it is safe to say that the only way I take care of my skin and body is by drinking plenty of water and eating well.
What is your beauty secret?
Castelino: The secret to my beauty is not secret but the fact that I have inherited my looks from my good looking parents.
Your fitness regime?
Castelino: My fitness regime involves change of different types of workouts like cardio, weight lifting, zumba etc.
