Amid coronavirus fear Bahrain suspends flights from Dubai, Sharjah for 48 hours

Dubai, Feb 25: On Tuesday Bahrain suspended all its flights from Dubai airport and Sharjah airport for 48 hours over coronavirus fears.

Bahrain’s Civil Aviation Affairs (CAA) has tweeted with this regard that it is cooperating with authorities to take necessary measures in light of Covid-19.

Visitors will be undergoing tests and if found to be suffering from any symptoms will be shifted to isolation for treatment.

Gulf Air also issued a travel alert stating: "Flights to and from Dubai International Airport temporarily suspended for 48 hours by Bahrain Civil Aviation Affairs #Bahrain #Dubai #GulfAir"

Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman and Iraq have reported first cases of the coronavirus on Monday. Kuwait has 3 cases reported till now, a 53-year-old Kuwaiti man, a 61-year-old Saudi citizen, and a 21-year-old stateless Arab.
