Mangaluru: Inter-collegiate English Literary Fest held

Mangaluru, Feb 25: The Government First Grade College for Women (GFGWC), Balmatta joined hands with St Agnes College (Autonomous) and Inner Wheel Club of Mangaluru North to organize an inter-collegiate English Literary Fest for undergraduate students of Government Colleges.

This is the third time that such an event has been organized by GFGWC to encourage the Government College students to put to test their language and literary skill in English.

Dr Jagadisha Bala, the principal of GFGWC, Balmatta presided over the programme. Dr Malini Hebbar, Associate Professor of English, St Agnes College was the inaugurator and Asha Nayak, president, Inner Wheel Club of Mangaluru north was the guest of honour.



Deepika Suvarna, Associate Professor of English of GFGWC was the programme coordinator while Vasudha of GFGWC was the student secretary.

Nine colleges participated in the event and the Champions Trophy was bagged by GFGC, Uppinangady. MPMGFGC, Karkala was adjudged the Most Vibrant Team.
