Mangaluru, Feb 25: A man allegedly kidnapped his mother-in-law fifteen days ago, kept her in Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu for thirteen days, reportedly tortured her and sent her in the train at Palakkad heading to Mangaluru saying that it goes to Tiruppur.

The incident which took place in Bengaluru has come to light in Mangaluru after some delay.

The family of Kalavati (65), residents of Tamil Nadu is staying in Bengaluru. Her son-in-law Chandrashekar had allegedly kidnapped her fifteen days ago. He kept her in Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu for fifteen days and tortured her. As she became sick, he brought her to Palakkad railway station and made her board the train heading to Mangaluru making her believe that the train goes to Tiruppur.

Kalavati alighted at Mangaluru railway station on February 22. She had to starve in the railway station for two days. Finally, she received help from district legal services authority. She came to Mangaluru court complex.

Chandrashekar had allegedly kidnapped her due to ongoing court case between him and his wife. The legal services authority has made Kalavati lodge a complaint at the women’s police station that she was kidnapped with the help of goons.
