Bantwal: Nine men arrested over rioting at bar in Vittal

Bantwal, Feb 25: Police personnel on Monday, February 24, arrested nine men over violence, causing commotion and damaging items without paying the bill for liquor consumed by them at a bar at Bobbekeri here.

The arrested men are Kasargod residents Vijaya C H (27), Umesh (22), Anwith P (19), Udaya K M (31), Mithun Rai M (21), Udaya S (24), Lokesh K (26), Tarun Raj P (25) and Adarsh H (20). Police have registered a case against them on the basis of complaint received from bar owner.

The accused were produced in the court and remanded to judicial custody. The accused purchased liquor from the bar, did not pay the bill, and allegedly rioted at the spot ganging up against the bar staff and public.
