Mangaluru, Feb 24: The installation ceremony of BJP's newly elected district president and its committee members was held here at Town Hall on Monday, February 24.

Addressing the gathering, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel said, "I have attended installation ceremony in 21 districts. All the districts should conduct installation ceremony because this is not only the installation ceremony of the district presidents but also oath taking for the victory of upcoming panchayat elections.”

“Sudharshan has become district BJP president in golden period, while Sanjeev Matandoor was given charge during the challenging phase of BJP. When Sanjeev Matandoor took charge, we had no power in the state, corporations. Sudarshan has been given charge in the golden period of BJP. With his young team, he should take forward the party in the district and take guidance of senior leaders of BJP. We have handed over the flag to Sudharshan. Flag is sign of responsibility while ‘Lotus’ the party symbol is an emotion,” said Nalin Kumar Kateel.

He further said, "In the recent by-elections, BJP secured 13 seats out of 15, which shattered Congress. Since then, their opposition leaders, presidents have resigned. Even after six months, they are not able to select their president for the party and the party is running without a national leader. If such is the case, do you think Rahul Gandhi can run a country?”

“Congress is a 135-year-old party. Since 1952, there were 17 major elections and in 7 major elections, Congress have gained majority. Today, Congress has reached a very critical and pathetic stage without the leaders. The reasons behind Congress’s failure were everyone was behind power, dynast politics, and corruption and never worked united which led to a Congress-free nation. Congress is unfit to be an opposition. Except for Lal Bahudur Shastri, from Nehru to Manmohan Singh, all the Prime Ministers were corrupt,” said Nalin Kumar Kateel.

“With regard to CAA, Congress have conveyed misinformation and set fire in the country. Gandhiji always said that those who convey misinformation and disrupt harmony are traitors, which means Congress is a traitor’s party. Congress is the one who broke the dreams of Gandhiji, Indira Gandhi and Manmohan Singh. Narendra Modi was the one who fulfilled the dreams of Gandhiji,” said Nalin Kumar Kateel.

District-in-charge minister Kota Srinivas Poojary said, "All the BJP representatives need to work together under Sudharshan Moodabidiri to strengthen our party. Today, the responsibility of Sudharshan is been increased to build our party and for us country comes first ahead of party.”

“In Karnataka, BJP is growing under our own state BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel and country is moving forward under Prime Minister Narendra Modi who has become a world leader. We always raised voice against the anti-elements and we will not spare it because for the party representative, country comes first,” said Kota Srinivas Poojary.

Former district BJP president and Puttur MLA Sanjeev Matandoor said, "The specialty of BJP is that our party always gives chance for young leaders, while Congress never does it. Today, young BJP is leading Young India and they are are leading from the front. Sudharshan M is given the responsibility for the next three years to take forward our party in the district. I started working as a representative of BJP and today am the MLA of Puttur, which is only possible in BJP party whom I treat as my mother.”

“BJP has given every opportunity for the party representatives to achieve higher post. During my tenure, several activities have taken place as several national leaders have visited the district to inspire us. Our next focus would be the Panchayat elections and we are prepared for it,” said Sanjeev Matandoor.

Newly elected BJP district president Sudharshan Moodabidiri said, "Today is an unforgettable day in my life to lead district BJP under the aegis of state president Nalin Kumar Kateel. I started working as a party representative and today am leading the district BJP because of the opportunity it has given me to excel and reach to this position.”

Sudharshan M has been elected as president, Ganesh Hosabettu, Koragappa Naik, Prabha Malini, Harikrishna Bantwal, Radhakrishna Rai, Santhosh Rai, Venkata, Eshwar Kateel as vice presidents, Ramdas Bantwal, Sudheer Shetty Kannur, Kasturi Panja as general secretaries, Jeethendra Kottary as treasurer, Sathish Kumpala, Keshava Bhat, Jayanthi Nayak, Dhanalaxmi, Pooja Pai, Mangala Acharya, Bharath Sooterpete, Jayashree Karkera as secretaries.

Mangaluru North MLA Dr Bharath Y Shetty, Sullia MLA Angara, Moodabidiri MLA Umanath Kotian, Belthangady MLA Harish Poonja and others were present.
