Goregaon: Cab rider threatened for insisting e-payment

Mumbai, Feb 24: In a shocking incident on Saturday a cab rider was threatened by Ola driver for not paying cash and insisting for an e-payment.

In his ordeal, the rider claimed that the Ola driver threatened him of dire consequences if he did not pay the fare in cash. The rider fearing an assault from the driver allegedly fled the spot.

After fleeing the spot he was left abandoned on Western Express Highway in the middle of the night.

An Ola spokesperson responded to the complaint and stated that the driver was suspended from the app platform and that an investigation was underway.
