Kasargod: 19.5 sovereigns of gold ornaments stolen - Girl student detained

Kasargod, Feb 21: Relating to an incident in which 19.5 sovereigns of gold ornaments were stolen from the residence of Kotevalappina Sunil residing at Adkathbail Gudde temple road in the district, the police have detailed a 19-year-old girl student for questioning.

The complainant had said that a key bunch kept inside the almirah in his house was used to open the safe where the gold ornaments were kept.

There is indication that she had stolen these ornaments at he behest of her lover who is from Kumble. Therefore, the lover may also be involved with the investigation and there is a possibility of the police naming him as an accused.

The detained student is from Kotikula. She is a student of a college at Mangaluru. Her lover also is a student of a college at Mangaluru, it is gathered.

    They can blame her if she was caught red handed,or they found gold with her.quite possible they want to get rid of her.owner self is responsible for leaving key on self.Let her go ,if she does not have gold with her or her lover.first inquire and search elsewhere before blaming others.

    this is a very local issue not meant to be on main stream news. All you know, may be the owner of the gold might have misplaced the ornament and blaming the world. it happens in our houses where people say they had kept here and find it somewhere else. DJW did good in not naming the suspect.
