Hubballi: Students booked for raising pro-Pakistan slogans, manhandled by Bajrang Dal

Daijiworld Media Network - Hubballi

Hubballi, Feb 15: Three students who allegedly shot a video of themselves shouting pro-Pakistan slogans and circulated the same among their college mates were arrested by Gokul Road police on Saturday February 15.

The accused students who were pursuing civil engineering at KLES' Institute of Technology, were allegedly manhandled by members of Hindu outfits while they were being taken to the police station.

According to Hubballi police commissioner R Dileep, the arrested students Aamir Mohiuddin Wani, pursuing third year civil engineering, Basit Asif Sofi and Talib Majeed, pursuing second semester civil engineering are booked under IPC sections 124(Sedition), 153(a) and 153(b) for disrupting communal harmony.

In the video, the students are seen shouting 'Pakistan Zindabad' (long live Pakistan). The students who hail from Kashmir had reportedly shot video in the college hostel room.

The members of the Akhila Bharathiya Vidhyarthi Parishat (ABVP) held a protest in the college premises on Saturday afternoon and demanded stringent action needs to be taken against them.

According to Bajrang Dal district president Shivanand Sattigeri, the police did not take action initially. However, after Bajrang Dal exerted pressure, they agreed to take action, sources said.

Large and medium industries minister Jagadish Shettar told media that anti-national activities will not be tolerated. “Hubballi-Dharwad is a peace loving twin-city and such incidents weaken the social fabric,” he said.

R Dileep questioned the detained students while police have already visited the college and are inquiring the college staff. Further action will be taken based on inquiry report.

These Kashmiris who live in India, get best of the facilities and then sing praise of Porkistan is not acceptable. But my surprise is their guts to do that openly here in India and that too in Karnataka. Either they are real idiots or they are paid stooges. I appreciate Bajrang Dal forcing the Police to take action. The thrashing of these idiots (though wrong in civil ways) is the best first aid provided.

Nawazbhai, Congress and UPA governments, neglected the entire North East and Jammu Kashmir states for decades... The outcome was disastrous for the nation.... insurgency and armed conflict, was waged to break the Union of India... Today there is peace and tranquillity, as all factions, were quelled by our armed forces, in the North East region.... Jammu and Kashmir is calm, peace is gradually being restored in the region, due to the removal of Article 370, and reclaimed as a Union territory.....

Any knowledgeable person will laugh if you say that there is peace in Jammu and Kashmir.
I don't know how congress performed with regards to Kashmir, but BJp surely made it worse. Taking decisions itself is not an achievement. We should at least keep it as it is besides worsening it. You can understand if you are kept isolated for months together from even basic needs and healthcare.

    Nawaz Mian,
We never visited Kashmir after Article 370 was abolished. But your confidence levels seem to suggest that you have. Could you please fill us up on the details?

While you are at it, keep all your arguments, details and data Kashmir only. No Bodoland, Tulunad and blah blah. The motive of the video is to taunt and take the trouble to rest of India in anticipation of help from people like you. Even Kashmiris have given up on Pakistan as it is busy selling the basic stuff (Atta aur Chini) at a premium to its own people.

Have you also been to occupied Kashmir (I mean those under Pakistan control. I thought I must clear this with you). How is it there? It must be like visiting British Museum on colonial technology after the first industrial revolution?

When we talk of one topic, there is a particular religion who pull out things which are not necessary.... becuase there is a saying "Kumbala kai kaddava yaru yendaga hegalu orskondante".

here the topic is of few kashmiri students who had the guts of speaking against india.. and if peole commenting are realy indians will never bring out other topics and compare this issue with others..

Here these kashmiris should be openly punished so that no one will have the guts of supporting other country after eating, sleeping and enjoying in India.... how dare they ... if they are so much interested in Pak let they go there and live there... but one thing.. they will not be able to survive one year there.... forget about life time... so many facilities given to minorities compared to other majority religions .. but still how can they be so mean.... we need a strict law like other Muslim countries which will definitely shut these people

These Kashmiri's are used to freebies from Tax payers! They must be expelled from the course if genuinely involved in such anti-national slogans! There are thousands from Kashmir studying in IITs , Medical colleges and other professional institutions in rest of India! It is high time to teach them patriotism by force and punishment if found guilty!!

Please check the authenticity of Video, if found correct, severe punishment to be given.
The reason for above statement is ' in Shaheen baug a RSS lady Gunja kapoor was seen in Burqa, Shouting Pakistan Zindabad, and another RSS team was ready with Cams to shoot the video. Luckily she was caught. The worst part is NO SEDITION CASE.

Their action speaks. If the video is genuine then they should be put behind bars and given proper treatment for their brains to come in line. They should be given an option to go to Porkistan if they love it very much. But no place in this great land. They should be given exemplary punishments. And you Mr. Anwar, learn proper lesson. Either you are with India or against India. Choose for yourself. Think before you comment. Don't be "Namak Haram" person.

Rajesh Acharya, Karnataka, don't be a baby that gets frightened with these silly slogans. I feel terribly irritated when Indians raise Pakistani support slogans, yet I am not intimidated to desire to eliminate them simply because we are human beings. Our nation is not threatened by these slogans so don't drag the name of nation due to fear.

Certainly what these students did was wrong. They require disciplinary action by police. But not from any from these gangs or unions. They can only file a case on them but not to beat them They need not order to police to take action.where are we?Police will take action how and as they have to do.
