Mangaluru: St Mary’s Kannada Primary School Falnir holds amazing Art, Science Exhibition

Mangaluru, Feb 15: The students of St Mary’s Kannada Primary School, Falnir, here, had their annual Art and Science Exhibition on February 14 which was inaugurated by Sr Maria Shubha AC, the Education Secretary of Apostolic Carmel, Karnataka Province.

She was accompanied by Sr Gloria AC the joint secretary of St Mary’s Institutions, the DDPU Elveera Philomera, the president of the PTA Rajesh D’Souza, the alumni Joan Lobo and Hazel Culaco as well as well wishers Patricia Mathias and Nancy Fernandes.

Students of std I to VII displayed their Science and art exhibits in a creative and attractive way in their respective classrooms. It was a wonderful show of creativity and talents, producing beautiful art pieces from waste materials such as plastic, wool, paper, grains, shells etc and the Science models pertaining to the subjects were demonstrated and explained by the students. The children with the help of their teachers worked hard to put up the entire show.



The benefits gained by them were learning organizing their skills, teamwork, sharing their ideas and knowledge with one another, research and developing their hidden potential.

The exhibition was visited by the Sisters of St Mary’s Convent, the staff and students of St Mary’s High School and PU College and some of the parents of the children who were very much impressed and appreciated the talent and hard work put in by the children and their teachers. They congratulated the headmistress Sr Suguna, the staff members and the students of St Mary’s Kannada Primary School.

The exhibition was indeed a grand success.
