Washington, Oct 21 (IANS) A member of the US House of Representatives has hailed the work of two Indian American philanthropist brothers on receiving Northern Virginia Community Foundation's community leader award for 2009.

Sudhakar V. Shenoy and Suresh V. Shenoy - both Indian Institute of Technology alumni - and their company IMC, Inc were recognised on the floor of the House Tuesday with Democratic member Gerald E. Connolly saying "accomplishments of these two individuals are truly impressive".

"They are successful businessmen, under their leadership, their company IMC Inc has become a highly respected and award winning technology solutions innovator that provides expert government, commercial and scientific solutions," Connolly said.

"The business successes of Sudhakar and Suresh Shenoy are matched by their philanthropic endeavours and commitment to the improvement of our community," Connolly said asking all members to join him in congratulating the two.
