Dubai, Feb 4: A family from Kerala is overjoyed as their 11-month-old baby has emerged as the lucky winner of US $1 million in Dubai Duty Free.

The baby, Mohamed Salah, who will be celebrating his 1st birthday on February 13, is the lucky winner, whose father Ramees Rahman, who works in Abu Dhabi as an accountant for a private firm. He had purchased the ticket online in January.

A very elated Rahman said that he had purchased the ticket in his son’s name. “He is very lucky. This is a massive win. I am yet to decide what to do with the money,” he said. Rahman is not willing to share picture of his lucky son.

The lucky ticket numebr is 1319 in the series 323. Rahman is residing in Abu Dhabi for over six years now and has been participating in the Dubai Duty Free promotions for a year now.

He further said, “I am positive there is a bright future for my son. His life is starting out on a very positive note. I feel blessed and thank the stars for this delightful moment in our lives.”

The other winner is an Iranian Shaghayegh Attarzadeh who won a Mercedes Benz S560. She is an entrepreneur and running a family business with her brother.

Apart from the two, a Filipino national, Gloria Malacaste, won a Moto Guzzi Audace motorbike. Also a Canadian, Timothy Reducha, from Riyadh, won a Moto Guzzi V8S TT motorbike.
