Bangkok: TKB holds annual general meeting, elects new office bearers

Bangkok, Feb 4: The annual general meeting of Thai Kannada Balaga (TKB) was held at Bangkok Hotel Lotus Sukhumvit February 2.

The main agenda of the meeting was the election of new office bearers for the upcoming years. Outgoing president Ravi M B took charge of the meeting by presenting the annual report to the gathering while the statement of the annual account was presented by the treasurer Subrahmanya Nilekeri.

Suggestions from the house were taken for the forthcoming years followed by the election of the new committee members.

Subrahmanya Nilekeri, was elected as president, Shivaprasad Poojary secretary and Dilip Kumar Gowda as treasurer for the next two years (2020-2022) and new committee members Raghavendra Panambur, Sanjiva Shamantha and Nithin Prahbu.

TKB came into existence in 2002 and completed 18 years. It is a socio-cultural organization to foster the culture of Karnataka, India in Thailand.

There are about 200 families from Karnataka living all over Thailand.

TKB works very hard to bring them together on Ugadi, Diwali, Kannada Rajyotsava and other festivals to promote the rich cultural heritage of Karnataka.
