Kuwait, Jan 27: Pius Nagar Welfare Committee Kuwait (PWCK) organized its annual parish feast at Avanthi Palace, Salmiya here on January 24.
The celebration started with introduction by master of ceremony Sunil Menezes, the prayer dance by Neil Lasrado, prayer by Vincent Menezes. Victoria Noronha, president welcomed the chief guests and all the parishioners along with more than 60 gathered guests and well-wishers.
Sunil Menezes welcomed the chief guests on stage Fr Dominic Sequeira, parish priest of Salmiya, Kuwait, Remy Fernandes, founder member and president of PWCK, Richard Menezes, founder member and former president of PWCK and Norbert D’Souza, president of Abassiya Konkani Families with flowers.
All the sponsors and participants were honoured by the president and committee members with flowers.
Annual Report was read by Wilma Moras, General Secretary of PWCK.
Fr Dominic Sequeira praised the PWCK members' dedication towards the Pius Nagar parish who kept the committee move on with unity and also thanked Remy Fernandes for his 18 years long service dedicated to PWCK who is leaving Kuwait for good.
Remy Fernandes was honoured with memento, flower bouquet, shawl and fruits for his dedicated service rendered to PWCK for the last 18 years since its inception. Wilma Menezes read the felicitation speech.
As part of the entertainment programme, beautiful group dances were performed by Sanchia and Slaina, solo dance by Lisa D’cunha, Alisha Andrade, group dance by Rashal and Moira. Beautiful songs were rendered by Stenwil Menezes, Vian Moras, Valen Moras and Morvine Quadras (GVOM season-4 winner) and everyone enjoyed the songs.
A fashion show was conducted by Victoria Noronha, Wilma Moras and Wilma Menezes and participants were Vian Moras, Sanchia Noronha, Valen Moras, Slaina Norohna, Stenwill Menezes, Lisa D’Cunha, Alisha Andrade, Reshal Quadras and Moira fernandes and everyone enjoyed the show.
Housie game was conducted by Sunil Menezes and Remy Fernandes. Prizes were distributed to all the winners of the different games. Lots of spot prizes were given away during the event.
Silvia Lasrado proposed the vote of thanks. The prayer was rendered by Louis D’costa. Avaniti Palace, Salmiya, provided the delicious food for the evening. DJ Music was played by Roshan Quadras.
The event was beautifully compered by Sunil Menezes.
