Kundapur: Entrepreneur jumps into river - Search operation in progress

Daijiworld Media Network - Kundapur (SP)

Kundapur, Jan 27: A person who was running hotel business at Mumbai jumped into Panchagangavali river from atop Herikudru bridge here. The fire brigade and others launched extensive search for the person but he remained untraced till late night on Sunday, January 26.

The person who plunged into the river was K G Ganesh (49), a resident of Chikkensal Road here. He had arrived in an auto rickshaw and got down at the said bridge. He then left his Aadhar card and purse on the ledge of the bridge before jumping. Someone who saw this act raised an alarm. People in the vicinity gathered there immediately and started searching for him. The fire brigade which got to know about the incident also came there and conducted several rounds of search operations but failed to get any clue about the whereabouts of the man.

Ganesh had gone to Mumbai several years back, and had steadily and gradually come up in life and had been identified as a successful hotelier. About two years back, he had suffered from bouts of depression and therefore settled down in his native place.

Ganesh seemed to be leading a happy life in the company of wife and two children. There is no clue why he took this extreme step.

Now, you and all of us will be going to face much more problem than what you wrote, when NRC comes into effect.
My relative in Assam, who has gone through NRC process, told me none of my IDs, school, college certificates or passport will be taken to establish citizenship.
First and foremost, they require proof that my father is/was an Indian.
Now, I am really worried, from where I can get birth certificate of my father, who died decades ago, while with computer and all modern equipment at it's disposal, Delhi University is not able to find the record of BA degree of our PM !!

    Dear Santan,
As per your information on Assam , about 95% of Indians - irrespective of any religion / caste are not having birth certificates of their parents or grandparents. So I don`t think the CAA is going affect only some religions.
Government is not foolish enough to drive away major chunk of population out of India. Even I don`t have birth certificates of my parents but I am not worried.
I think misinformation by some vested interests are creating all these issues. Now you may be aware of the source of money for the agitators for so many days of protest. I can not even participate in such protests for a day also.
So don`t worry. All INDIANS will remain in India as Indians.
