Panaji: Legal Metrology department confiscates liquor worth Rs 1.7 crore

Goa, Jan 25: The legal metrology department during raids at two industrial estates on Friday confiscated bottles of rum and brandy collectively worth Rs 1.7 crore for violations of quantity.

The officials have registered a case against the bottling plant situated at Tivim industrial estate.

The officials found that brandy filled was less by 4.5 ml in statistical average in each of the bottles. Similarly rum was less by 20 ml in statistical average.
