Kaup, Jan 21: Central Rights Conservation Committee held protest meeting at Katapady Junction here on Monday, January 20 to register its disapproval of certain central government laws enacted recently.
'Let the government confirm the citizenship by undertaking DNA tests of Indians instead of examining the documents. Those who have love and affection for this land are the true citizens of India. That quality is there only in Muslims, Dalits and people belonging to backward classes', said Bhaskar Prasad.
Addressing the protesters, he said that three percent of the people are ruling the remaining 97%. RSS leaders are sowing poisonous seeds among Billawa, Bunts, Mogaveera, and Dalit youths. But their children are enjoying a peaceful life in foreign countries. "The young generation from the lower classes are becoming the victims of hate politics. The number of victims of RSS activities will come down only when they escape from the circle of RSS and Sangh Parivar," he opined.
Vinay Kumar Sorake, former minister and Congress leader, said that CAA, NPR and NRC Bills were implemented within a short time, without discussing in Lok Sabha and Rajya sabha. "These laws have been dividing the communities on the basis of caste, religion and this is the agenda behind their politics," he felt. He alleged that crores of rupees will now be spent to build detention camps. Is it required?" he questioned.
William Martis said that the above Laws will affect not only the minorities but also Hindus. "We will be forced to visit various departments to get documents to prove our citizenship. People will have to spend money and precious time. An organized protest against these laws is the only way left for us", he stated.
P K Abdurahman Madani inaugurated the convention.
Sudhir Kumar, advocate, Murali, K M Siddiq Montugoli, Madusudhan Gowda, pro-Kannada activist, and Ashraf Achar, district secretary of SDPI, addressed the convention.
Charls Amblar, former president, district minority forum, Ibrahim Matpady, district president, district Wakf advisory board, Hazi P Abubakkar, committee president and other leaders were present.
YBC Basheer, convener of the committee, welcomed the gathering and Ashraf Raza Anjadi, state secretary of SSF, rendered the vote of thanks.
