Davanagere: MLA Renukacharya vows to ‘saffronise’ twin taluks, keep Muslims under check

Daijiworld Media Network - Davanagere (SP)

Davanagere, Jan 21: M P Renukacharya, MLA and political secretary to chief minister B S Yediyurappa, has pledged to ‘saffronise’ Honnali and Nyamathi twin taluks in the district, and to keep Muslims under check. He also said that in addition, he will divert grants meant for Muslim areas to Hindu areas. "I will treat individual groups on merit and keep distance wherever needed. I do not need support of such people," he added.

Speaking at Honnali town on Monday where a huge meeting was organized to congratulate Prime Minster, Narendra Modi, and union minister, Amit Shah for implementing Citizenship Amendment Act, he noted that leader of the opposition, Siddaramaiah, former minister, D K Shivakumar and others have been terming BJP as communal. "The real communal are these people," he stated.

"You conducted caste census. You were the ones who created split between Veerashaiva and Lingayat communities. You are communal in real sense. Neither Siddaramaiah, nor Shivakumar, have the moral right to speak about the BJP," he said, directing his ire at the Congress leaders.

"In many mosques, instead of offering prayers, they collect arms and ammunition. Do you need mosques for such purposes? Are sowing seeds of terrorism, collecting guns, and putting together lethal weapons your culture? Do you expect us to be mute spectators of what you engage in?" he wanted to know.

He recollected that Congress MLA U T Khader, has termed the two who died in Mangaluru firing as innocents. "Do you think India has to host them like sons-in-law? If you have received money from Pakistan, please hand the same over to the families of the deceased. We are not objecting," he said.

Renukacharya said that the post of the leader of the opposition is vacant in the Congress. He noted that Dinesh Gundu Rao had fled after resigning as the president of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee. Even after three months, no one has been posted in this place. This is the situation the Congress is going through now, he analysed.

When will our leaders talk about equality & unity among all caste & religions in India?

When will our leader’s set good examples & share good thoughts about each other unlike all the other fast growing countries in the world. Especially middle east gulf countries (Dubai) etc.

When will our leaders talk about job opportunities both Government & Private sectors ?

When will our leaders talk about improving infrastructure in Mangalore, like schools, colleges, bus stand & railway station, government hospital & education centers , public parks & attracting more tourism to Mangalore.

Last few years Mangalore is becoming more dangerous place in the states. Law and order are not under control. People are scared to come to Mangalore especially with families, coming for shopping or medical requirement. Attacking on hotel & pubs & Holy places like Mosque & Church ?

Even the Mangalore police are not in favor of public support, people are scared of Mangalore police rather than any other organization or bad people (gundas) in the society.

When will our Mangalore turn to a peaceful city & attract more Tourist & Business to Mangalore ?

When will our leaders talk about economic growth of Mangalore & entire nation ?

Politicians like this MLA across several political parties wag their tongues when they find a mic in front of them. Utter some rubbish, get some orchestrated applause and their inflated pride is satisfied.

Its sad but because of how our parliamentary n legislature system is structured, all parties during elections look at winability of a person rather than his/her character and ability to improve our society.
Hence we have very few politicians who are Leaders in the true sense.

    If we analize and see:
Nowadays most of the politicians, purposefully rake up some controversies, one will speak for some deity or community.... Another will speak against such deity or community.
Then, alarmed people, leaving aside all their real focus, work, priorities or concerns; jump into the controversies created by these politicians !
Then they start pouring their comments and start mobilizing pro and against opinions and remain completely engrossed into it!
Development and real issues concerning all of our welfare goes into drains! Have we really elected our leaders and paying them for these sort of activities?
