Mysuru: 17 dissident MLAs are in dicey situation, ridicules former CM Siddaramaiah

Daijiworld Media Network - Mysuru (MS)

Mysuru, Jan 20: "The situation of 17 MLAs, who deserted Congress and JD(S) and joined hands with BJP to bring down the coalition government, is pathetic. They have become insignificant for BJP after winning the elections," said former chief minister and senior Congress leader of Karnataka Siddaramaiah ridiculing the BJP.

Siddaramaiah further said, "These 17 MLAs did not even get the opportunity to meet Amit Shah, when he arrived in the state last week. If the Cabinet gets extended leaving out the dissident MLAs, a huge volcano is going to erupt in BJP. It is not possible to give ministership to all the MLAs, who have won the elections. MLA Vishwanath has already warned BJP that he needs minister post at any cost. Wait and watch what dramas are going to unfold in future.

"There is no government and zero governance in the state. Six months have elapsed since BJP has come to power here. But actually it feels that there is no ruling government at all in the state. Yediyurappa is just roaming around telling lies over lies. Still the Cabinet is not formed. The government is yet to take off,” he said.

Responding to a query with regards to the appointment of KPCC president, Siddaramaiah said, "The matter will be decided by the Congress high command. I have informed the high command the name of the person to whom the reign should be handed over to. I have also asked the high command for an immediate appointment. But it is not possible to say who will be given the position. But the formation of Cabinet of BJP is more important than the appointment of KPCC president."

Mohit... From Heart tell me, is not what Siddu said is correct???

Do you really admire what has happened just to fulfil one person's desire to become CM?

Have we not seen the dramas when the same CM has to face ire of his own party men who camped in Goa and elsewhere and Reddy brothers have to buy them back to save CM chair?

We vote our MLAs on their promises and based on the promises made in their party manifesto, so how our MLA can switch side after they become MLA just for a selfish cause of getting Minister Post??

So, if we support this, it simply means our vote is just a waste and give stick and get beatings!!

Do we have to be blind and still support any of these... who don't have shame but only intend to add wealth in their 5 years term?

Best this would be that, Siddaramaih too joining BJP for a short period atleast and can bargain for an equivalent post that is of a Chief Minister. That way he himself can allocate portfolios to those 16 MLA's and return to power.

No. I am just thinking here tit-for-tat. The way BJP poached these MLA's, why not they get their ex-leader promising him CM's post which Siddaramiah can bargain for. All they need is, Congress MLA's by hook or crook.

Isn't your Yeddy capable of forming a govt, you need Siddu's assistance to do that job???. It would be best for Yeddy to admit his failure, step down and dissolve the assembly then let Siddu form his own cabinet and run his govt as before. Yeddy and BJP are good in destroying a functioning govt but unable to give a good governance by immediately forming a ministerial cabinet.
