Chikkaballapur: 'Yediyurappa will not fight elections again' - Kalladka Bhat

Daijiworld Media Network - Chikkaballapur (SP)

Chikkaballapur, Jan 20: "B S Yediyurappa will continue to be the chief minister of Karnataka for the remaining term of three and half years. Thereafter, he has decided to stay away from electoral politics and devote full time for party's organizational matters," said Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh leader Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat.

During his interaction with the scribes here on Sunday January 19, Bhat said that he had met Yediyurappa about a month back. "He happily conveyed this information to me. He wants to work to uplift the condition of the farmers and weaker sections of the society. He also told me that he will never fight an election again as he has already enjoyed power and discharges responsibilities given by the party leadership. He informed me that he will work as a sincere worker of the party after the end of his current term," Bhat explained.

Kalladka said that there is no bitterness or confusion in the state government now and there is no doubt that Yediyurappa will lead the government during the balance term. "Yediyurappa built BJP from scratch in the state. He has come up the hard way politically and become chief minister on account of his own struggles, social service activities, and efforts," he praised.
