Dubai: $2.03 billion worth merchandise sold in Dubai Duty Free during 2019

Dubai, Jan 3: Dh 7.41 billion worth merchandise was sold in Dubai Duty Free during 2019 compared to Dh 7.3 billion in 2018.

1,90,208 transactions were reportedly recorded on December 20 which was the day of the 36th year of operations when customers availed 25% discount on a range of merchandise.

Perfumes, liquor, cosmetics, tobacco and electronics were sold the most. 64.578 million units of merchandise were sold out of 24.3 million transactions in 2019.
