2 foreign nationals arrested in Goa for prostitution

Saligao, Dec 14: Two foreign nationals were arrested by Anjuna police on Friday for running a prostitution racket.

A police team comprising Anjuna PI Suraj Gawas along with PSI Vidyesh Pilgaonkar, constable Shyamsundar Parsekar, Shrikrishna Redkar and other personnel conducted a raid at around 1.30 pm at the junction near Deulvaddo and arrested Abykeeva Aliana, 38, from Kyrgyzstan, and Ronan Bikbov, 20, a Turkmenistan national.

The accused were arrested while trying to deliver two girls on a four-wheeler to prospective customers. They were charged under Section 370 (A) (2) read with 34 of the IPC and Section 45 of the Immoral Trafficking (Prevention) Act.

PI Gawas is conducting further investigations under the supervision of SP north Porvorim and SDPO Mapusa.
