Ras Al Khaimah, Dec 8: There has not been a single alarming crime in over nine months at Al Jazirah Al Hamra in Ras Al Khaimah.

As per the Ras Al Khaimah Police, this major feat was possible with the collaborative efforts of competent criminal, traffic and administrative teams along with the Al Jazirah Al Hamra Police Station.

Major-General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al Nuaimi, General Commander of the RAK Police said, "The teams, who are committed to the vision and strategy of the Ministry of Interior, have boosted the sense of safety and security among the people in the emirate."

Col Ahmad Abdullah Jakkah, chief of Al Jazirah Al Hamra Police Station, stated that their 'Safe Community' initiative has managed to keep the crimes in check.

The mandatory routine of keeping the crime rate low included specialised patrols at hot spots and the residential and industrial areas.

Brochures in different languages have also been distributed, primarily to factory workers, to raise their awareness, he added.
