Mumbai, Dec 8: On Saturday, Maha CM Uddhav Thackeray directed bureaucrats to not submit any controversial or illegal files before him.

“I have no experience in administration. I believe bureaucrats are the protective shield of the CM. Under such circumstances, ensure that you do not move any file for the approval of the CM which will bring the CM’s office under controversy," he said.

Thackeray was addressing a top-level meeting of bureaucrats on governance, administration and discipline, in the presence of chief secretary Ajoy Mehta.

Further, he advised the bureaucrats to be present during the visiting hours, to avail help to the general public. Thackeray also stressed on the importance of an efficient, honest and transparent administration.
