Mangaluru: Coast Guard official commits suicide

Mangaluru, Dec 6: Pavan Kumar (40), a native of Haryana working for Indian Coast Guard here, committed suicide by hanging himself on Wednesday December 4.

Kumar was residing in the residential quarters provided to him at Kunjathbail in the city. It is said that he was distressed due to certain family problems and therefore was on leave since the last some days. On Wednesday morning, he hanged himself from a ceiling fan at his residence.

The deceased has left behind wife and two children. A case of unnatural death relating to this development was registered in Kavoor police station.
