"Justice" is fairness in the way that people are treated, whether they are alive or dead. YES we all want justice for Fr Mahesh, but at the same time, we should ensure that injustice is not done to another person.

When there are experts engaged for a purpose, why should people don the role of doctors, police, forensic experts, lawyers, judges and use social media to deliver their own judgement? Sadly this incident seems to have been utilised by few in and outside Shirva to settle their individual scores.

"Keliddu Sullaagabahudu Nodiddu Sullaagabahudu Nidhaanisi Yochisidaaga Nijavu Thilivudu" is such a valuable song and while it talks about human nature in the face of uncertainty, it narrates the story of Gangamna who kills her pet mongoose, just because she SAW blood and THOUGHT the mongoose had killed her baby, whereas the mongoose had actually SAVED her baby and KILLED a cobra that had come inside. Unfortunately, it is human nature to arrive at a conclusion by just HEARING, SEEING or READING,(which may not always be true) and reacting out of emotion.

Silence should not be misunderstood....it is the maturity to allow the experts to do their job. But at the same time there is a limit to everything and with this complaint people should stop hurling abuses and defaming an annointed priest of intergrity. If differences cannot be sorted out across the table, then approaching the court of law is fine for any citizen.

Udupi diocese was doing so well under able leaders and I hope and pray that the Diocese and the clergy recover from this unfortunate incident and continue to grow and excel.

Finally, our Heavenly Father is the Supreme Judge and sees it all. Let us be careful with our words(that we utter and write) and deeds and not bring His wrath upon ourselves and our families.

May God grant eternal peace to Fr.Mahesh and strength to his family to bear the loss. May God protect and bless Fr Denis.

Priest has too many responsibilities and it is hard for them to lodge a complaint just because people are threatening him. They follow bible more than law whic is forgiveness so on and so forth. He may have waited to settle down the matter but devil minded people are continuing thier threat. What a normal human can do 2hen their life is in danger. It is not like north America or Europe press 911 and cops , ambulance and fire brigade all surround you in less than few minutes. In India once person dies then only cops shows up. Please continue to pray for the people who repent and start doing good rather doing devil.

One thing I am sure those who are responsible for any human beings death the curse of blood will be there with him or her wherever he or she goes
That curse will not allow anyone to sleep peacefully that's why we read in many books those who fought and saw the blood they repented
For example emperor Ashoka after kalinga battle left everything every worldly pleasure and embraced budhism and went for thapasya and not only that he didn't encouraged his children for power and throne instead he sent them to preach budhism
Live peacefully the life given by God and we are all guests here on earth!then why power and our own glory! let's work for god's glory

I have known Fr.Denis for a long time and he is a good friend of mine. The Fr.Denis I know is an honest, honorable and noble man. I believe the parishioners of Shirva church are lucky to have him as their Parish Priest. In light of recent events, he has be unjustly crucified by the people of Shirva and neighboring places to the extent of even receiving death threats. This isn’t the right way to go about things. I believe that whatever the issue, it must be sorted through peaceful talks and a fair resolution. No good can come from taking the law into your hands. I would implore the people concerned to sit down, talk and resolve the matter. My best wishes as always are with Fr.Dennis. May God Protect him.

Fr.Denis has cleaned up many instantiations and developed many churches in region, he command great deal of respect by his talents, kuntal Nagar church is closest example. I expect Fr.Denis to come back to Shirva chruch and clean up all the mess, he is very capable of that. I am sure majority of Shirva community is with him.

This is the time Shirva people should get together with the church committee and an open dialogue with all concerned people along with the priests to put an end to this issue. We all want our Shirva priests to be back and our church should be restored to its original state. Let the truth come out and let the church carry on with their duties. We are in the month of advent and humbly request everyone to pray for the priests and the parishioners of Shirva.

It is better to keep calm, because many of us are not aware of the truth behind this mysterious death of a young, talented Priest Fr. Mahesh . If few of them know the reason, know the facts and have evidence, they would wish to act accordingly, with a hope that judicial system will give justice. So passing our judgement on a priest or passing our judgement on few people without knowing facts and proper evidence is not right.
None of us are saints, we all do our own mistakes in life, few knowingly and few un-knowingly, few with grudges and few with feeling of insecurity in life . It is better for the church and our community to resolve this issue before it gets more murkier.

Dear all ...this issue is unnecessarily being blown out of proportion. I strongly feel that this matter is not getting anywhere closer to one's expectation. It's being dragged on into eternity. Only time will tell if this case will be cracked open.
There's isn't any valid point in threatening the priests or the laity. They will be here for a certain time till their next transfer to another parish.

Nor is there any use in arguing or creating an unhealthy environment with these anointed ones sent here to serve one and all for a limited period. Already our religion is being viewed in a very suspicious manner due to which we are getting a bad name from other communities. Bear in mind that we are a minority...we have to exercise extreme restraint and need to be exemplary. We are causing unnecessary injury to ourselves hitting the axe on our feet.

Finally, here is my friendly advice...if indeed a police complaint is lodged against any of the above- mentioned individuals, it will do more damage than repair. It will be very difficult to undo any action thereafter especially when availing the services concerning authenticating of document/revalidation/issuance or allied related services.

So sad that people are reached at this stage to harass the priest. What a shame. All those names listed by priest may required urgent prayers from all good people along with holy priest and nuns to cast. Threat to a priest from any person will be cursed with a pain of that priest who is going through hardship of serving the people sacrificing the life for royal priesthood, Let us pray now that all those listed people will repent and ask for mercy . My sincere prayers for the priest. I don't know this priest but my heart is in pain reading the article of such pathetic way people are born to threaten the priest for doing his job. shameful people.

    Good move by the priest.

People must understand that law is not an event, but a process. And the process is run by people qualified for it.

And it is this process that eventually leads to the conviction of a guilty party.

No one has the right to accuse someone without some foundation and evidence. That is evil.
