Mangaluru: Shakthi Institutions hold Annual Day

Mangaluru, Nov 30: The Annual Day of Shakthi PU College Shakthi Residential School, and Shree Gopalakrishna Pre School was celebrated on a grand scale on Saturday, November 30 at the college auditorium.

B L Santhosh, the national secretary, Bharathiya Janatha Party was the chief guest on the occasion. Addressing the gathering he said, “The God has created different sorts of children. A teacher moulds all the children studying their different nature, attitude and aptitude. We should not focus only on marks. The teachers and parents have to focus more attention on values and life education. He urged the parents to spend more time to speak with the children rather than watching TV or mobile.”

Another chief guest Krishna J Palemar, the former minister of Karnataka spoke on the occasion and gave a call to the students to give due importance to cleanliness and in saving the environment. The parents should take the benefit of this educational institution to the fullest extent for students here can get value based education.

D B Mehta, the president of CREDAI Mangaluru said, that learning never ends. Constant learning one can contribute to the society. The students should give more importance to gather knowledge from all corners. Every problem has a solution. If we have attitude of working hard we can solve problems and face challenges. He told the students to be honest.

The chief guests gave away the prizes to the achievers.

V K Talithaya the former vice president of MRPL presided over the function. He gave a call to the students and said that the students should cultivate the habit of the attachment to the school and should have affection to the teachers. The students should cultivate good qualities.

Nalin Kumar Kateel MP, Vedavyasa Kamath MLA, Dr Bharath Shetty MLA north, Vanitha Prasad corporator, Monappa Bhandary former MLC, Shakila Kava former deputy mayor were present on the occasion.

Sanjith Naik, the secretary of Shakthi Education Trust and the correspondent welcomed the gathering, Prabhakara G S, principal of Shakthi P U College, Vidya Kamath G, principal of Shakthi Residential School and Neema Saxena the coordinator of Shree Gopalakrishna Pre School read out the annual report of their respective institutions. Baikady Janaradana Achar, the administrator of Shakthi Education Trust, rendered the vote of thanks. The students of the schools and college presented variety entertainment programme at the end.
