Mangaluru: Annual Day for kindergarten to class V held at LCS

Mangaluru, Nov 30: The Annual Day of Lourdes Central School was held on Friday, November 29 at Bejai Church Hall, under the title ‘Crusaders for a Greener Environment’.

The chief guest of the function, the rector of St Aloysius College, Fr Dionysius Vas was escorted by the school band to the hall.

The other dignitaries included manager LCS Fr Wilson Vitus D’Souza, principal Fr Robert D’Souza, vice principal Belita Mascarenhas, Stany Vas, vice president, and Cony Saldanha, secretary of Bejai Parish Pastoral Parishad, and PTEC vice president Shankar Subbu who graced the occasion.



The programme began with the prayer dance followed by a welcome song.

Fr Dionysius Vas, spoke on the occasion and said that a person will attain success in life only through education. Education has no end and proper study habits will take us a long way. Parents should teach the children to differentiate between the right and the wrong.

Fr Wilson Vitus D’Souza spoke on the event and said, “Conserving the green environment is necessary for future. Education will enlighten the society to save our Earth.”

Fr Robert D’Souza welcomed the gathering and read the annual report.

Later, cultural programme began where the little Lourdites from the kindergarten to class V showcase their talents through various dances and plays, all highlighting the importance of conserving the nature. Students of Class V Esther Grace Fernandes, Naman Acharya, Gargi Tailor, Sristi Pavoor, Joanne Benedict Karkad, Anusha Nayak, Ridhi Ghata, Sharvi Shetty, Keith D Souza, Abhan Basheer Ibrahim, Shreya Hegde, compered the programme. Vote of thanks was rendered by Belita Mascarenhas.
