Mangaluru: St Agnes College (Autonomous) celebrates fabulous Student's Day

Mangaluru, Nov 29: St Agnes College (Autonomous) celebrated Student’s Day on Thursday November 28 on the college grounds. 'Agno Comic Con' was the theme chosen by the student cabinet for the day.

The programme was compered by Vaishali and Vaishnavi of I BCA. The day began with a prayer song by Alisha and group followed by a welcome dance by Akansha and Krithika.



Jerusha Maben, the student president welcomed the gathering. The dignitaries for the day were, Sr Dr Maria Roopa AC, joint secretary, St Agnes Institutions, Sr Dr Jeswina AC, principal, Sr Dr Venissa AC, vice-principal, Sr Carmel Rita AC, administrator and Ronald Pereira, PTA vice-president.

The principal addressed the students and encouraged them to showcase their talents, give their best and enjoy the event to the fullest. The college cabinet members dressed up as various comic, TV show and Marvel characters and performed a fabulous dance and entertained the audience.

This was followed by a student’s talent show. The judges for the talent show were Vinol Roche and Rishel D’Souza. The winners of the talent show were Delna and group of I BCom who bagged the first prize and Asrina of III BCA won the second prize. The cabinet organized a fashion show to declare the best-dressed person for the day and the title was won by Jewel Rophine Crasta of 1st BBA.

The afternoon session was taken over by the faculty and support staff. They entertained the students with short skits, songs and dances. The programme was compered by Malavika Shetty, assistant professor of BCA and Sandhya Nayak, assistant professor English.

At the end of the day, the students conducted a few games for both the faculty and the students. The day ended with a mass dance.

    The best and fabulous programme was conducted by our teaching and non- teaching staffs, where everyone of us enjoyed this day . We had lots of fun and entertainment by our teachers. It was indeed one of the best student's day till the date.
