Mangaluru: Sounds Fishy rock band in opening poll of Stonedead Music Festival

Media Release

Mangaluru, Nov 29: Sounds Fishy, an ambient metal and hard rock band from Mangaluru is Asia's only music outfit to make it to the opening poll of Stonedead Music festival 2020. The band is inches away from playing at the festival in the United Kingdom.

Sounds Fishy was formed to give its listeners the true concept of rock. The band was formed in early 2016, by a group of six friends who were earlier part of various local rock acts.

The band claims to have been influenced by rock legends Dream Theater, Deep Purple, Megadeth, Ronnie James Dio, Seether, Steel Panther, Toto, Scorpions and Pink Floyd.

Sounds Fishy has constantly brewed sensational originals titled 'Sympathetic Race', 'Train on a Highway' and 'Moment of Truth' which have received appreciation on a global scale. The band was the first to collaborate with several leading guitarists from Mangaluru and produced 'The Mangalore Guitar Jam'.

Sounds Fishy, was the first-ever Mangalurean band to have all their originals played on air in several radio stations including the British radio network, Metal Mayhem Radio, New Zealand's, KAOS FM 87.8 and USA's, Rock Rage Radio. The band also made it to the number 31 spot in the New Zealand's Spring Rock Radio Charts as curated by KAOS FM 87.8.

Sounds Fishy is now gearing up for the UK's most awaited music festival 'Stonedead' as the only representation from Asia.

To get an opportunity to play at the festival the band requires votes and are requesting people to listen to their music, and give them a chance to be a part of Stonedead Music Festival, the sole intention being to uphold original, unsigned and independent artists.

People who are stoned with marijuana/weed are less prone to seeking violence than alcoholics...other mind enhancers i wouldn't comment.
