Social media violations at rise in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, Nov 25: The social media abuse cases have drastically increased in Abu Dhabi in the year 2019.
 
Abu Dhabi public prosecutors stated that they have handled 512 cases of social media violations in 2019 compared to 357 cases reported in 2018. Back in 2017, 392 cases of social media abuse were registered.
 
 
As per the authorities, social media violations include blackmailing youngsters, threatening others, spreading false information, sending abusive and derogatory messages.
