Kuwait: KPA lends helping hand to 20 noble causes after silver jubilee celebrations

Kuwait, Nov 23: Kuwait Pangla Association (KPA) celebrated the silver jubilee of ‘Musical Fiesta’ on November 23 in 2018 at Khaldiya University Auditorium here to a jam-packed audience that thronged to watch the performance of popular band O…La…Re… from Mangaluru. The audience returned home carrying memories of a lifetime after watching their favourite singers and musicians perform live. 
 
KPA management committee under the leadership of president Naveen Monis had worked tirelessly to make this programme possible and Mangalurean community and others in Kuwait supported it wholeheartedly to make KPA’s dream come true.

KPA has lent support to to 20 noble causes after silver jubilee celebrations last year which is listed below. 

As per a statement of the organization, "We had been blessed with generous donors who helped us put up a successful show and we will ever remain grateful to them. We had committed that we will use the remaining funds from the celebration for a noble cause and today, we are glad to tell you that we have been able to help 20 very needy causes from our society without discriminating on religious grounds.

"As the saying, 'charity begins at home' goes, we first helped a fellow Pangalite with medical aid and extend support for another 19 causes and with great humility, we would like to inform that we were able to donate Rs 9.2 lac. The contributions of KPA were:

1. Avil Castelino (Pangla/Shankarpura) INR 50,000.00 for medical aid
2. Ravi Shetty (Shirva) INR 50,000.00 for medical aid
3. Michael Mathias (Shirva) INR 50,000.00 for House construction
4. Sonia Martis (Shirva) INR 100,000.00 for financial support
5. St John's High School (Pangla/Shankarpura) INR 20,000.00 for education
6. Sunitha Dsouza (Udupi) INR 25,000.00 for House construction
7. Anson Dsouza (Kuloor) INR 50,000.00 for medical aid
8. Hajirabi (Katapady) INR 50,000.000 for house construction
9. Basil Jaya Pinto (Bondel) KWD 200.000 for medical aid
10.Veronica Dsouza (Thokottu) INR 50,000.00 for house construction and education
11. Wilson Gonsalves (Dandeli) INR 30,000.00 for medical aid
12. Emilia D'Souza (Dandeli) INR 30,000.00 for medical aid
13. Violet Crasta (Kalyanpur) INR 50,000.00 for medical aid and education
14. St John's PUC (Pangla/Shankarpura) INR 30,000.00 for education
15. Shamshad (Kundapura) INR 30,000.00 for medical aid
16. Salvadore D'Mello (Pilar) INR 25,000.00 for medical aid
17. Home of Faith Vishwasada Mane (Pangla/ Shankarpura) INR 50,000.00
