Moodbidri: Carmel School conducts session on 'Sex Education and Adolescent Age'

Moodbidri, Nov 21: Carmel School here, on Thursday organized a lecture on Sex Education and Adolescent Age by Dr Shashikala, chief medical officer, Government Hospital, in the city for students of classes VIII, IX and X.

Dr Shashikala spoke to the students about the changes that take place during adolescence such as physical, mental, social and hormonal changes. She gave relevant examples to make the idea clear to the students and gave tips to remain healthy during adolescence. In her talk, she also created awareness on 'Tobacco Control Programme' and 'Presentation of child abuse'.

The programme was informative and educative.

Reon Fernandes of class IX welcomed the gathering and Livya Serrao of class IX expressed words of gratitude.
