Second edition of Mangaluru Lit Fest on Nov 29 and 30

Mangaluru, Nov 19: The second edition of Mangaluru Lit Fest is all set to be held on November 29 and 30 at TMA Pai International Convention Centre in city. 

Organised by Mangaluru Literary Foundation, in association with Kannada and Culture Department, the Lit Fest this year is themed ‘The Idea of Bharat – Today and Tomorrow’. 

According to the organisers, the Lit Fest attempts to showcase ancient Indian wisdom of peace, prosperity and universal well being as enshrined in Indian scriptures from Indian historical perspective through intellectual discourse by the finest literary minds from across the globe.

 

The Lit Fest will be inaugurated by Jnanapeeta awardee, poet and folklorist Dr Chandrashekara Kambara. Nitte (Deemed to be University) vice chancellor Dr N Vinaya Hegde will preside over the programme. 

On the occasion, the lifetime award will be presented to renowned researcher, author and historian Dr M Chidananda Murthy. 

The Lit Fest will have renowned speakers such as Rajeev Chandrashekar, Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament, Anurag Thakur, Union minister of state for finance and corporate affairs, Ajakkala Girisha Bhat, president, Kuvempu Bhasha Bharati Pradhikara, Malavika Avinash, actor, Vasudendra, author, Sahana Vijay, author, Smita Prakash, editor-in-chief, ANI, Savio Rodrigues, editor-in-chief, Goa Chronicle, Sanjay Dixit, additional chief secretary, Rajasthan, Gen G D Bakshi (retd), strategic affairs expert, Barkha Dutt, journalist and author, B L Santosh, BJP general secretary, Prakash Belawadi, actor and activist, T S Nagabharana, film director, Shiv Aroor, author, Dr Vasanth Kumar Perla, poet and writer, Dr Muhammed K K, Padmashri awardee and author, Chaya Bhagavathi, author and poet, Dr Raghotham Sundarrajan, researcher among others. 

On November 29 at 5 pm, ‘Sanskritika Sandhya’ will be presented by students of Alva’s Samskrithika Vaibhava.

    Good To Know that function is being held in Tulunaad,

    I would have been happier if any Tulu stuff was being involved which represents Tulunaad and Tuluvas,
