Very good. She should be put behind the bars. This should be a precedent for all those parents who show off by giving vehicles to their minor children thinking that they are doing something great.

Please read the last paragraph before drawing conclusions. The police have taken action according to the law. We Indians are either ignorant of the law or want to take it for a ride. We want to drive vehicles on public roads much before we turn 18 (I know a well known life insurance agent whose son was riding two wheeler even before reaching high school) and parents encourage it without second thought; we don't want to wear helmet or seat belt; we want to drive on the wrong side of the road because it reduces travel,... It is indeed the fault of the mother to allow her son ride the two wheeler without having a valid driving licence; he could be under-age too.

You seem to have forgotten that the vehicle is registered in the name of the mother.
